Wendy Corsi Staub, Friday Evening Keynote Dinner speaker, is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who has published over 100 novels under her own name and various pseudonyms.
She is best known for her psychological suspense novels. Her most recent in novels in that genre are The Fourth Girl (Thomas & Mercer, April 2025) and its sequel The Lost Summer (Thomas & Mercer, April 2026). She is under contract for two new standalone psychological suspense novels, the first of which, tentatively titled The Last Housemate, will be published in May, 2027. The seventh title in her critically acclaimed Lily Dale Mystery series is Toil and Trouble (Severn House, July 2025). The books are set in a fictionalized version of the real life Western New York spiritualist town populated by psychic mediums.
Wendy is also known for nearly two dozen women’s fiction and romance she’s published under her pseudonym Wendy Markham. In 2015, her novel Hello, It's Me was adapted as a television movie starring Kellie Martin and remains in frequent rotation on the Hallmark Channel.
Wendy has been honored five times with the Westchester Library Association Washington Irving Prize for Fiction; has won an RWA Rita Award, an RT Award for Career Achievement in Suspense, and the 2007 RWA-NYC Golden Apple Award for Lifetime Achievement; and is a three-time finalist for the Mary Higgins Clark Award. She grew up in Dunkirk, NY, graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia, and for most of her adult life has resided in the New York City area. She currently lives in suburban Westchester County with her husband, three rescue cats, and occasionally a grown son or two.
