Elizabeth (Betsy) Allen holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University, as well as a master’s degree in English and an MFA in fiction writing from George Mason University. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor in the English department at Mason. Allen’s fiction publishing credits include several short stories published in genre anthologies, including Twisted Yarns (Sirens Call Publications); Strangely Funny 2 ½ (Mystery and Horror, LLC); Southern Haunts: Spirits That Walk Among Us (Seventh Star Press); and Ink Stains, Volume 7 (Dark Alley Press). She also is the co-author (with her brother Ben Small) of the graphic novel trilogy, The End of Gath (Community Voice Media, LLC), and is currently revising a novel that began as her MFA thesis project. At home in Alexandria, Virginia, Allen lives with her husband and two rarely cooperative, but (fortunately for them) cute dogs. In her spare time, she indulges a tragic crossword puzzle addiction and frets about her two grown children and grandson. Find her on Facebook or Twitter (@WriterMuse).
