Novel Beginnings – The first fifty pages of a novel can be the difference between readers continuing your story or putting it down. In this class, we’ll explore the importance of hooking your reader. Details include introducing your characters and the story problem, and incorporating the necessary information that propels the novel forward. Deanna will use examples from novels with great beginnings and share the key elements of storytelling. Students will also be asked to write important scenes that will enhance their story.
