“No More Dead-ending Stories”

On Saturday, July 21, 2018, Catherine E. McLean will present the first of a series of three mini-workshops on “No More Dead-ending Stories.”

Community Library of the Shenango Valley
11 N. Sharpsville AVE
Sharon PA 16146

Time: 1-4 p.m

Each session of the three-part series will focus on a different aspect of storytelling that helps a writer avoid stories that dead-end, go off on tangents, have a minor character take over the story, and so on.

July 21 — PART 1 — The focus is on what story is and what elements go into a good story. Covered will be things you should know before writing word one of the actual draft. Whether writing plot-driven or character-driven fiction, you’ll gain valuable insights. Come and learn the secrets and shortcuts that result in a tale worth telling and marketing.

In order to have enough handouts, RSVP before noon, July 20 to catherinemclean00@gmail.com

This event is hosted by the members of the Shenango Valley Pennwriters, part of Pennwriters Inc. (www.pennwriters.org).
