Served as Vice President, Secretary & General Counsel of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (www.HersheyPA.com). With annual revenues of over $325 million, the Company’s businesses include the HERSHEYPARK entertainment complex, the GIANT™ Center multi-use arena, the HERSHEY Bears professional hockey team, the Hotel HERSHEY and the HERSHEY Lodge. Throughout his tenure Frank reported to the President and CEO, and was a member of the Executive Committee. Responsibilities included serving as corporate secretary, oversight of all legal services, and coordination of strategic planning, among other areas. Retired from Hershey in June 2016 after more than 16 years of service.
Prior to joining Hershey I was a partner in the Central Pennsylvania law firm McNees, Wallace & Nurick, where I founded and chaired the firm’s Technology & Intellectual Property Group. I practiced at the McNees firm from 1981 to 1999.
Graduated cum laude from Bucknell University in 1978 (B.A.), and received law degree in 1981 from George Washington University’s National Law Center (J.D.). Admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States Patent & Trademark Office and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Awarded the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® peer review rating, and was recognized as an American Lawyer Media/Martindale-Hubbell Top Rated Lawyer in Intellectual Property in 2013 and 2014, and as one of its Top Rated Lawyers in Technology Law for 2013.
Served as an adjunct professor at the Penn State Dickinson and Widener schools of law, and currently am an adjunct professor for Lebanon Valley College. I am also a Visiting Instructor at the Milton Hershey School, the world’s largest home and school for children in need, and coach its high school mock trial team. I also chair the School’s Law, Public Safety & Security Career Path Advisory Committee. Author of various articles and instructional materials on intellectual property law, diversity and inclusion, and other topics in a variety of publications, including The Bucknellian; McNees, Wallace & Nurick Technology & Intellectual Property Newsletter; Pennsylvania Business Central: Pennsylvania School Boards Association Bulletin; Pennsylvania Architect; Central Penn Business Journal; Pennsylvania Bar Institute; and Wisconsin Architect.
