David H. Bender has a BA in Economics from Boston College and an MS in Restorative Practices from the International Institute for Restorative Practices.
Following a successful career as a representative of the New York Stock Exchange, David transformed a small community-owned organization into the leading regional provider of prevention and intervention services to families affected by addictions. A policy advocate, David has testified before House and Senate panels on various human services issues.
Always an avid writer, he recently completed his first novel (working title BLOOD OF A KINGFISHER) and has begun an agent search while at work on his second book. A 5th degree black belt, David teaches the disciplined martial art of Tae Kwon Do, but the Harry C. Robinson Humanitarian Award and many similar honors show that he has plenty of heart and soul to accompany his discipline.
