1. Where do you live, and where have you lived,
My wife Randee, of 47 years, and I are presently living in the country in the far northeastern corner of Ohio (Rome Township, Ashtabula County). Our summers are spent on Brevort Lake, Mackinac County, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
I graduated from Wyoming HS, Wyoming, OH, then from the University of Cincinnati, AA and BS in English and History. I was honorably discharged from the Army with the rank of Captain (Inf.). I worked for BP, as a Corporate Security Manager, traveling the country running investigations. When BP left Cleveland, I changed jobs and became the Chief Operating Officer of a regional security company, Industrial Security Services. Inc. Presently Randee and I are both retired.
4. What do you do for fun?
I enjoy writing creatively and have written a two hundred page family history, which chronicles the lives of our Hinz and Becker ancestors as they emigrated from Germany to Cincinnati in the 1860s, and how they managed to thrive and raise families. I like to write short stories and poetry. I am an outdoor person and enjoy walking our property here in Ohio and fishing and bird hunting in northern Michigan.
6. Anything on your “Bucket List?”
Presently, Randee and I are scheming to go on the road Travels with Charlie style and live like gypsies for a year or so. We are also planning a second trip to Europe with our youngest son, as he says, “Before the window of opportunity closes on us.” Ha ha.
