Bryan “BC” England dedicated over 20 years to the Baltimore Police Department: seven years in uniformed patrol on the midnight shift of the Wild Western District; eight years as a full time writer of policies, procedures, forms creation, government presentations and other projects for the Police Commissioner; and the last five years in Homicide. His short story “Just Hungry”, a dark twisted tale about the plight of a code enforcement officer who takes his rat eradication job way too seriously, was the opening story in the University of Baltimore’s literary journal Welter 2014. Bryan is a consultant for writers on law enforcement policies and procedures, and presenter of Fact vs Fiction in Law Enforcement: Keeping it Real Enough, a session for writers. He is writing supernatural thrillers, with a smattering of short stories, poetry and prose in numerous genres and voices thrown in.
