Alicia Stankay is a fiction writer and photographer living in Ambridge, PA. She has published two books of short stories: Between Two Bears: Short Stories on the Journey of Life, a series of paired stories with Bruce Midkiff, and Tales of Twenty Women: Reflections on Love. Inspired by a story from that book, she wrote her first novel, Beyond the Bridge, a story of young love lost when a family member commits a crime, and how the repercussions touch their lives until the crime is solved nineteen years later. She also wrote a teen time travel book, using the local living museum, Old Economy Village as the setting for Cathi and Katrina: Adventure in Old Economy Village. Her most recent book is a mystery titled Summer of Secrets: A Stonecliff Mystery. Alicia enjoys hiking and taking nature photos when she goes on “cabin adventures” to local state parks with her husband. These natural surroundings show up as settings in some of her stories. Her photography appears on the covers of her books, and in regional publications, such as Loyalhanna Review. She is a member of Pennwriters, , Poets and Writers, and Ligonier Valley Writers.
